MacBook hard drive is user-replacable

MacBookMany people have noticed the variety of new features of the MacBook, including a glossy screen, different style keyboard, and its availability in black. But here’s one feature which you probably didn’t notice — a user-replaceable hard drive. Yes, the MacBook’s hard drive can be replaced without totally disassembling the computer. Simply unscrew a small cover and the back of your MacBook, remove some protective aluminum shielding, and you’ll be able to easily replace or remove your MacBook’s hard drive from right under the RAM slots. This is definitely a major improvement over Apple’s previous laptops, though I’m curious why the MacBook Pro lacks this feature.

Agreed; taking apart an iBook just to get at its hard drive is one of the worst things ever. First time I did it I managed to leave about eight screws behind; while I've learned from that experience, it still takes quite some time to go through it all and I often leave annoying marks on the case because I don't have a spudger or one of those nylon stick thingamabobs...
