iFixit Guide to MacBook

Posted by Cyrus Farivar | Monday, May 22, 2006 12:20 PM PT

Our good buddies over at iFixit, who have great online guides for fixing nearly any Mac, have just put together a complete step-by-step guide to upgrading, or even just gutting your new MacBook. If I ever decide to upgrade my RAM or hard drive, I’m sure this will come in handy.

Excellent news! This is a welcome addition although it may make people think it gives them the ability to use the "trick" that MBP users have suggested to cool their system.

Hopefully it won't be required for HDD and RAM.

I like the entry for the HDD; "that was easy."

Tomorrow I get to install new RAM; just 3 screws = Nice.

It doesn't appear that hard to get to the heat sink and fix the thermal paste.
