There’s crime afoot in the Mac world! Someone has kidnapped the Eddy trophy rightly belonging to Alsoft’s Disk Warrior 4, awarded by the Macworld editorial staff in 2007. Furthermore, they’ve constructed an elaborate electronic kidnap note, including an extensive list of demands, to wit:
So we know that we are looking for a cigar-smoking, bacon/tofu scramble-eating, armadillo-loving, bird feeder. That ought to narrow down the odds considerably. The kidnapper has insisted the police not be called, lest things get “ugly,” but the crack MacUser digital forensics team has painstakingly analyzed the evidence, which has led us to identify the kindapper as the masterminds behind MagnusApollo, Inc.one finely crafted Fuente cigar
one pound of bacon
one pound of tofu
a stuffed armadillo
one package of birdseed
We’re hoping for a speedy resolution to this crisis and our thoughts and prayers are with all the fine folks at Alsoft during this difficult time. We can only hope that Eddy is returned safe and sound to its owners and that the culprit of this unthinkable crime is brought to justice, making the world once again safe for trophies everywhere.
