It’s hard to decide if it’s Apple or simply an overzealous Apple fan, but a copy of the Leopard Developer Preview has appeared on a BitTorrent tracking site. I’ll save you the site name and URL as I would never encourage anyone to download warez. It weighs in at 3297 MB. Sounds good right?
Well, you could waste precious bandwidth by downloading it. But you’d end up with a very large, very empty disk image. Imagine the nasty surprise if you’d tried to burn it before opening it. You’d have a very wasted DVD. It’s a great prank, that’s for sure.
MacUser is your source for news, info, and opinion about Apple, the Mac, and the iPod. Our dedicated team of bloggers covers everything that is relevant to Mac users — and, okay, some stuff that’s not quite relevant, but is still a lot of fun.
Exactly what should happen to people who try to get operating systems or any other software by illegal means...good prank i'd say :)
