Trent Reznor kinda plugs Apple with clever stage antic

NIN BSOD-1.jpgIt’s no secret that Trent Reznor, the man behind band Nine Inch Nails, is an avid Mac user. All of his albums have been produced on a Mac, MacBook Pros are commonly found on his live stage set up, and of course, there was that free release of one of his singles as a Garage Band file.

During recent tour dates, observant fans have noticed something a little odd about the NIN set up: a blue screen of death popping up on their massive LCD display, albeit for a split second, at every show!

I think the message is obvious: Macs rock, PCs…don’t?

Anyway, I think it’s a clever little gimmick, and it goes well with the song, The Great Destroyer, which already sounds like it’s about to glitch out and implode on itself. Check out a video clip after the break. Don’t look away though, because the BSoD is there for only the blink of an eye!

It’s at about the 1:05 mark. Enjoy!

Trent is notorious for his control over every little detail, obviously someone is having a little fun prodding Microsoft there.
