Ever wondered what the MacBook Air would look like if it were enclosed in carbon fiber instead of the snazzy anodized aluminum it is now? Allow us to answer that question for you—it would look like crap. If you don’t believe us, you need only to take a look at the picture on the right and you’ll know what we’re talking about.
Apparently, the one benefit of this apostasy is that it makes the notebook lighter than its stock (and pretty) state, but the rest is downhill from there. Not only does it look ugly, it also feels flimsy. John, the person behind this mod, intends to make a second version which is supposed to be thicker, more durable, and prettier.
Well, good luck with that. It’s nice to know that there are people out there forgoing the security of their warranties, doing all this crazy stuff and posting pictures online, so that we don’t have to do them ourselves.

I'm assuming that John used to own a home-made PC clone with those see through CPU cases that are clear and he installed neon blue lights...and he probably has a Honda with a massive wing spoiler.
