Apple, your slip is showing

iPod nano chartWhen a company’s as big as Apple, it’s easy to understand that certain little typos fall through the cracks. So when a reader alerted us to an error on the Apple Store page for the U2 Special Edition iPod, we of course decided to handle it in a mature and adult manner.

Hey Apple, you missed a spot!

Sorry, that was unprofessional.

The error occurs in a table comparing the U2 iPod to the rest of the iPod familia, and seems to suggest that the nano currently exists in 1GB, 2GB, and 4GB versions—those capacities were correct, of course, for the first generation nano, but the second generation nano exists in 2GB, 4GB, and 8GB varieties. We’re sure that Apple’ll correct the error soon, and we’re sorry to have to be the ones to point it out, but we’re really doing it for the good of all, okay? Because that’s just the kind of social crusaders we are.

[Thanks, Po]
