Dear Apple,
If you’re going to publish iCal calendars for your users and publicize them, then keep them up. A movie release calendar that ends October of last year is useless. Even worse is a DVD release calendar that ends September of last year. Some follow through would be nice.
Your pal,
Derik
MacUser is your source for news, info, and opinion about Apple, the Mac, and the iPod. Our dedicated team of bloggers covers everything that is relevant to Mac users — and, okay, some stuff that’s not quite relevant, but is still a lot of fun.
This reminds me of how development of Sherlock was all but discontinued, not long after version 3 was released and it was hailed as the next best thing since sliced bread. It seems apple's attention turned elsewhere and they forgot about it.
I suspect the same has happened here. Apple probably thinks dashboard widgets are now the best way to be informed of movie and DVD releases. I'm not even sure such widgets already exist, but that would explain why they have 'forgotten' about the iCal calendars.
You may be right Oliver. Apple needs to invest in more long term support plans for their new technology. Unlike love, it should not be fleeting. ;)
