With Apple’s move to Intel processors, the exciting prospect of a PowerPC G6 Mac died — or maybe not. According to The Inquirer, pirates in South America are illegally selling fake Macs dubbed the “PowerPC G6 Macintosh.” This “G6” Mac is actually a PC running a 3.8GHz Pentium 4 processor loaded up with OS X86 10.4.3. The fake Macs will run your quite a bit less then a PowerMac G5 at only $500. But the most ironic thing about these fake Macs is that besides the clock speed, the Pentium 4 on them is inferior to the Core Duos touted on Apple’s Intel Mac line.

You beat me to the post, Aaron, so I'm turning mine into a comment. :)
Apple Legal needs to reevaluate its priorities. Perhaps, with the departure of head lawyer Nancy Heinen, we'll see fewer legal attacks on people trying to fix their computers, and more on the devious people who deserve it. Like pirates.
So what's the deal, Apple Legal? Where's the smackdown? That's not just 512MB of PC3200 RAM in there; they're selling these suckers with impunity. It's a golden opportunity for you guys to gain back some goodwill with a legal action the whole community can get behind.
I'll bet, given that they are running 10.4.3, that they have grabbed the software off the "Developer Transition Kit" machines that Apple leased to developers.
Those were more-or-less generic x86 boxes.
If this is true, then there will be no OS updates for these machines, ever.
