We knew this was coming eventually and now it’s finally here: your very own LSD-inspired MacBook Air, brought to you by the fun folks at Colorware. For the not-so-modest price of $500, you can have the base color of your MacBook Air professionally altered to one of 35 bright and vibrant colors. Add another $50 and you can have the monitor frame colored differently as well. Tired of the played-out white palm rest? That can also be altered for a nominal fee, as can the mouse button, Apple logo, and even the hinges.
If you’d like your MBA’s paint job fully customized—as per my demented creation pictured above—you’re looking at a cool $710 price tag. So if the money’s burning a hole in your pocket after an already-extravagant MBA purchase, send it out to ColorWare for the ultimate statement of… well we’re not sure what a paint job that costs 1/3 of the product actually states, but hey, betcha the kid next door can’t afford it.
