Mac tablet coming soon?

hrmpf.com has a detailed account of some patents filed by Apple and how they’d likely be used. Could this really signal the release of a Mac tablet soon? MacPolls.com has that as their current question.
I personally expected Apple to create some kind of tablet shortly after the Newton handwriting technology resurfaced as Inkwell. With the Intel transition, this seems like as good a time as any for Apple to introduce a new product.

IMHO, this 'tablet PC' will be part of apple's DVR/MediaMac solution. That is to say, the touch screen tablet will be the controls for your digital home (a la Sonos, but for movies and photos as well as music).
