We reported a few weeks ago that the 20” iMac G5 had been declared “End of Life” to UK resellers and predicted that its Yankee counterpart clearly didn’t have long to go. With the practically delphic success of that divination, we’re thinking about taking the day off to go play the ponies. This morning brings news that the PowerPC flavor of Apple’s 20” consumer-level offering is the latest model to fall prey to Steve “The Hatchet Man” Jobs and disappear from the Apple Store.
Jobs is hardly one to make idle boasts, so expect to see the remaining PowerPC Macs axed before long. Could April 1st be D-Day for more Intel Macs?
