Get your own MacBook modded into a Modbook

Modbook Ever since we laid eyes on the Modbook at Macworld, it’s been one of our favorite third party products. The chances of Apple making a tablet are slim. The market is small and niche. Other World Computing has been selling the Modbook ever since they went on sale.

Now you don’t need to purchase a premade Modbook. You can select the MacBook of your choice and send it in to be transformed by Axiotron’s new Modservice. Starting at $1,299, you can take your existing MacBook and turn it into a tablet.

Post transformation, your Modbook has all the same tablet stats of the premade product. Intel Core 2 Duo-based white Apple MacBook computers can be converted, but unfortunately, that doesn’t include the very latest MacBooks. That makes this a cool way to recycle that slightly older MacBook into something new and fun (not cost effective, but when did that ever stop a true geek?).
