Engadget’s 2006 laptop-of-the-year award

200704111632I guess no one here should be surprised about this, but Apple managed to get two machines into Engadget’s Laptop of the Year finalists list. It is the only company to do so.

Other machines are from Lenovo (IBM), Dell, Sony, HP and Asus. I must admit that if we only judge hardware and not OS/software, Apple may have some competition. I personally happen to be a fan of Sony’s notebook design, and that ThinkPad X60 is one tiny computer. Nonetheless, the MacBook Pro and the MacBook currently occupy the #1 and #2 spots, respectively. Go cast your votes before the winner is announced on April 15th!
