Mac users can now enjoy playing and burning Blu-ray discs (if you can find them) thanks to the Logitec (not Logitech) LBD-A2FU2/WM. It is set to be released in June, and will sell for around €800, which is now about $985. Maybe I’ll just stick to normal DVDs for a while.

It's just not worth it, for now. In another 2 years DVDs will fading out and blu-ray will be on its way to the top. Come on, 200GB 16-layer discs!?!!? If it works out like that, it'll go straight past DVDs. But yeah, hopefully they start putting them in MacBooks in another 2 years or whenever.

Unless HD-DVD wins the format war. Which is hardly impossible. By all accounts, Betamax was much higher quality than VHS, and we know how that went. Sony has an issue with its proprietary technology: Betamax, MiniDisc, MemoryStick, and now Blu-Ray. It could very well end up being yet another costly flop, in spite of its attractive specs.

Technology is starting to move faster than I can think. Soon we'll just make computers to keep up on all the new technology for us.

...exactly.
