We don’t normally report on rumors, but the logic that some day a MacBook (sans “Pro”) will someday appear is simply too strong to ignore. Ever since the iMac went pure white when it adopted the LCD display, there’s been a lack of color in Apple’s computer lineup. That’s why AppleInsider suggesting the forthcoming MacBook might have color has turned much of the Mac community on its ear.
It even prompted MacPolls to do its own poll on what you favorite color is. At press time, black was leading the pack at 44% with white trailing at 25%. With the iPod being offered in both colors, will they offer the MacBook in two colors? Would you prefer a black MacBook? I would. I still think fondly of my jet black Powerbook G3.
