Because USB is the Universal Sharing Bus

usb2server.jpgSharing, as we learned back in kindergarten, is caring. Bringing enough cupcakes for everyone is just polite. We expect no difference in the hustle-and-bustle of today’s office environment. Don’t horde those USB gadgets all to yourself: share them with your colleagues and friends.

That’s where Keyspan’s $129 USB 2.0 Server comes in. This diminutive device lets you bring the joys of your USB printer, scanner, or other peripheral, to the masses. It features a pair of high-speed USB 2.0 ports and a standard 10/100 Ethernet port. Just jack that into your network, and you’re ready to share the wealth to both Mac and PC users.

Of course, some USB gadgets (letter opener clocks; mini fridges; etc) aren’t ideal for this little device, but that’s okay: we’re sure you’ll find other ways to help your co-workers out. May we suggest cupcakes?
