I’ve got a licensed copy of TextMate feeling awful neglected. TextMate is powerful to be sure, but I’m just so familiar with BBEdit. Sometimes to get into something new, I need a book. Thankfully, TextMate: Power Editing for the Mac now fills that void.
For an application with little interface cruft, TextMate has a lot of depth. You could almost say it’s deep, man. TextMate’s extensive online documentation is probably enough for most people, but there’s still something about a tactile object to read from when it comes to a complex subject. At $29.95, it’s a mere 14 cents per page. That’s a steal gentlemen.
MacUser is your source for news, info, and opinion about Apple, the Mac, and the iPod. Our dedicated team of bloggers covers everything that is relevant to Mac users — and, okay, some stuff that’s not quite relevant, but is still a lot of fun.
If you do not want to fork out the $30 for this book, Amazon is offering it at $19.77. As Derik would put it: it's a mere 10 cents per page.
