Whenever I read stuff about Steve Wozniak, I always think of him as a happy-go-lucky, generally fun guy to be around. Whether talking about his days as a young prankster, or the care and keeping of a Segway, he always gives off this “everyone and everything is awesome!” vibe.
For instance, during his recent interview at the Intel Development Forum, Wozniak explained that being passionate about one’s work can often be a stronger motivator than financial gain. Like, say, passion for messing around with what would eventually become the Apple I and Apple II computers (ooh, snap!).
Wozniak’s sit-down session with Dr. Moira Gunn of Tech Nation included ruminations about his early computer work (it seems the Woz designed a tic-tac-toe machine at age 10) and how lacking resources can often lead to greater innovations. From early dreams about how computers could improve education, to receiving his college degree under the pseudonym Rocky Raccoon Clark, Wozniak’s legacy as Smart-and-Funny-and-All-Around-Cool-Dude seems secure.
Now if only we could clone Wozniak and then the two could get into all sorts of wacky hijinks together!
"...cool, yet geeky"...I thought geeky was cool?
