Are you a cycling enthusiast? (Or someone who just likes to cycle?)
While you might not be able to fully experience the grunting, guts and glory that will race across the French paysage this July, Tour de France fans can now experience in detail, three-dimensional images of all the crags and climbs right from Google Earth.
One Dutch fan has compiled a KMZ file (that’s a customized map readable in Google Earth), which illustrates the route of this year’s tour.
Beyond the small handful of Americans who can name one cyclist other than Lance Armstrong (yes, we know he’s retired), we’re guessing that most of us yankees (like that majority of us here at MacUser) will probably be watching baseball all summer and continue to wonder what all the fuss about that yellow jersey is all about.

I remember last year the Tour de France provided an 'official' Google route, from day to day.
The official tour website put one out last year. I would expect them to do the same.
BTW as a UK person - we have the great pleasure of staging the prologue and first stage in this country. We have even less countrymen in the teams than the USA. You should be proud of the number of great American riders in the tour.
