One would hope they serve apple pie

stevesighting.jpgWe’ve all heard tell of Apple’s Cupertino campus. It’s the land where dreams come true. Perhaps you, like me, have even visited this realm of the imagination, hovering just at the edges of the compound, where the air itself smells of the flowers and victory, the buildings are heated by rainbows, and trained snipers watch your every move through high-powered scopes.

But, in all likelihood, you have not eaten of Apple’s food—for surely, if you had, you would have been trapped in the most infinite of all loops, stuck in a digital underworld as surely as if you had drunk a bottle of Hades’s POM Wonderful.

Mac|Life’s Jon Phillips has ventured into the heart of darkness and lived to tell the tale. Join him on a four-page odyssey through the Caffe Mac’s menu of sushi and salad, impressions of the restaurant’s heady atmosphere, and even a rare sighting of Stevie Jobserino himself.

I haven’t had the opportunity to dine at the Apple headquarters, but let me tell you: I have eaten at the Google. And it was delicious. Ever since then, I have found myself searching and searching for the same culinary delectability, feeling as though a little part of me was forever left behind in Mountain View. Perhaps some day, I will be able to return and find it once again. I think it might have been next to the platters of cake.
