Martha Stewart living with her new MacBook Air

marthaEvil1.jpgMartha Stewart frightens me.

Behind that smiling, colorful, cake-baking, cornucopia-crafting exterior is an evil soul-eating otherworldly genius bent on world pretty-fication. Commanding millions with the wave of her hand, she’s obviously amassing a legion of devoted followers to one day rise up and overthrow the world’s style-deficient governments, allowing them to install Martha as Decorator in Chief, and requiring festive pine cones on display for every holiday and novelty-garnished pastries after every meal. Currency would be printed on crepe paper so it can always be turned into lovely mood-lifting ornaments in a moment’s notice.

The only force capable of derailing her sinister sugar-coated plans is Oprah and her fierce militant arm, Oprah’s Book Club. I can’t even imagine the horrors associated with an open Martha/Oprah conflict.

We’d all be doomed.

And now to distract from the fact that was all totally irrelevant to this blog, I will cleverly shift gears: When crazy Mac fanatics get their shiny new Apple goodies, they usually precede using the devices with taking photos of them and posting said photos on their blogs. It’s some sort of tradition, or in OS X’s EULA, or something.

Martha Stewart, perhaps overwhelmed by the sheer awesomeness of her new MacBook Air, followed in the Mac enthusiasts’ footsteps, and posted photos of her tiny new notebook — along with her dog Sharkey — on her own blog, The Martha Blog. She gives some brief deets on the Air, and why she loves it so. And she includes one sentence that really stands out (emphasis mine):

It has a full-size illuminated keyboard, which is terrific for working in a dimly lit car or on an airplane.

You know how she works on her laptop while driving? A third arm and telekinesis.

That’s right. Don’t tell me she’s not evil.

I’m going to get fired for this post, aren’t I?
