Something-a-day is a concept that’s all the rage. Woot started it with a deal a day. Soon there was MacZot which offered a piece of Mac software each day for sale. While offering something for purchase every day is a really compelling business plan, we’re not all made of money. Getting stuff for free can be good too.
Macintosh GUI offers a Mac GUI customization each day, whether it be a piece of software, an icon, a desktop, or even a screensaver. There’s no guarantee that they’re free, but I’ll take mostly free over having to pay every day any time. It’s also good for getting exposure to these things a little at a time. Every time I try to browse websites that contain collections of these interface elements, I get completely overwhelmed with the number of options.
MacUser is your source for news, info, and opinion about Apple, the Mac, and the iPod. Our dedicated team of bloggers covers everything that is relevant to Mac users — and, okay, some stuff that’s not quite relevant, but is still a lot of fun.
