MacBook x-ray hits the interwebs

macbook-xray.jpgJust in case you didn’t have anything else to do this fine Thursday afternoon, you may want to check out this x-ray image of a MacBook, which is exactly as cool as it sounds.

Jason de Villa (I’m assuming no relation to Joey de Villa) recently had his “brother the vet” borrow his x-ray machine to scan his MacBook, and this is the result. There’s a hard drive, and various spinny things, and some ports over on the left side.

What else can you make out?

I can see the following to add to the list:

spacebar (rectangle shaped thingie in the middle)
Superdrive on the right side..
Battery (consisting of 3 battery packs)..
Memory..
Heatsink across the processor and video-chip..
The fan (black thing in the middle)
The touchpad and below the topcase connectors..
I see 2 small speakers and one big one?

A very cool idea and lovely to look at..

I can see the FireWire port... oh, no! It was just a mirage!

This X-rays-vision thing suggested a silly question to me: would Superman, with his
super-enhanced sight, be able to use this laptop without been plagued by the reflections from the glossy display?
