I’ll sheepishly admit I haven’t actually read the book Getting Things Done (it’s still waiting in my book bag for my eyes). I am hooked on Kinkless GTD though. It seems like every day I have more to do and less time to do it in. GTD is supposed to help with that.
While I love kGTD, Inbox is written from the ground up to be a Getting Things Done facilitator. It looks really great, but I feel pretty lost in it (and as a beta, it’s still very buggy). Can any of you GTD ninjas tell me if Inbox will make more sense after I read the book?
I've always wondered, what the $@%& is GTD! Well, I know it's some kind of productivity thing, but what is it?
I've read the book, and Inbox still didn't make any sense to me. But it has a great look, so I'll probably try the next beta.
GTD is short for "Getting Things Done". It is a methodology developed by David Allen (davidco.com). GTD consists of a lot of simple things "stitched" together to make a powerful productivity mindset. GTD is more about processing data and reviewing items to make sure you have your next actions defined. I've been using it for about four years and love it. Which tool you use to keep your "system" organized isn't as important as using the system itself.
Hope that helps.
