As I mentioned in my post yesterday, people have noticed that by default, Firefox 3 doesn’t always render image colors exactly the way they’re meant to be rendered. This might not be a big deal to me or you, but for artists, photographers and such, who rely on their browsers to display accurate colors, this can be quite irksome.
The issue is a simple fix: you see, Firefox 3 comes with support for color managed display of photos with embedded ICC profiles, which is what we want. For whatever reason, however, this support is turned off by default. Furthermore, there isn’t an option to switch this support on via the preferences menus, so we have to get a wee bit technical. The two current options we know about so far involve installing a color management add-on that can be found here, or manually editing the color management setting, instructions for which can be found here.
And voila, your Firefox 3 browser should now be rendering colors properly! Enjoy.

The reason it's not on by default is because turning it on incurs a large performance hit at the moment. hopefully, in not too long they'll sort it out and it'll be on by default.
Plus, in my experience, it's not worth the trouble. Omniweb has this option, and I see little or no difference. Also, as a web designer, my clients and their visitors will not have this on for sure so I need to see how images will look for normal users.
I think this is a non-issue if I ever heard one.
