Universal Access never ceases to amaze me with the little hidden features on your keyboard. Months ago I told you how you could retro your Mac with an inverted negative screen. Today there’s the zoom trick:
Simply hold down the Control key and either use the two-finger scroll on your trackpad or the scroll ball on your Mighty Mouse to zoom in on your screen. Pick a level of zoom (it’s pretty much infinitely variable) and mouse around. The screen follows your cursor! While I can think of lots of fun/bored uses for this feature, I can also think of some practical ones. (My personal favorite is the retro-zoom.)
MacUser is your source for news, info, and opinion about Apple, the Mac, and the iPod. Our dedicated team of bloggers covers everything that is relevant to Mac users — and, okay, some stuff that’s not quite relevant, but is still a lot of fun.
Here's the keyboard way:
hold option+cmd+8 (to turn on the zooming feature)
and then press option+cmd++(plus), or option+cmd+-(minus)
