Robert Lemos at CIO.com published an article yesterday titled “5 reasons to ditch the Mac and return to PC”. It was so full of misinformation and spin that somebody had to step to the plate and negate these points. That person, apparently, is Seth Weintraub at Computerworld (last seen in these pages not understanding the meaning of “hacking”). In a blog post, Weintraub systematically refutes every “reason” to switch back to PC.
Although some of these points and counterpoints are merely PC-centric views vs. Mac-centric views, some of Lemos’ pro-PC points are so lame (MacBook Pros are hot—really? I thought that had been addressed two or so years ago) that they beg to be addressed form a proper perspective.

MacUser is your source for news, info, and opinion about Apple, the Mac, and the iPod. Our dedicated team of bloggers covers everything that is relevant to Mac users — and, okay, some stuff that’s not quite relevant, but is still a lot of fun.
From the article:
"Getting data out of Mail.app? Hook it up to an IMAP Server (GMAIL?) and upload the data. Then download it with Outlook."
I just used the reverse to get messages out of my wife's Outlook into Mail.app. Worked like a charm.
Why doesn't this guy buy parallels and move the Macs back in, In my opinion this person has problems!
