You remember those crazy Dogz and Catz games for the PC, right? Of course you do. And of course one of the most enviable qualities of the Windows PC has always been its ability to exclusively run such wildly entertaining and engaging games. Well, not anymore, hotshots!
Ubisoft, the company responsible for these monstrosities gems, has signed a multi-title agreement with TransGaming, whose Windows to Mac translation technology will bring such coveted titles as CSI: Hard Evidence, and the afore-mentioned Catz and Dogz titles right into our Mac-using mitts, via gametreeonline.com.
Ubisoft’s Petz series will be ready for download “immediately”, according to the press release, and as I write this, an exciting “Petz: Coming Soon” banner is being displayed at Gametree, so the fun will be happening shortly.
That’s right: if you’ve been itching for a little digital doggie to run around and make doodie on your desktop, your sick, sad desires will be granted ever so soon.
To Ubisoft’s credit, they do produce some killer games for the PC, and we can only hope that truly acclaimed and anticipated games like Far Cry 2 and Prince of Persia will see their ports to Mac eventually.
