As a kid, I whiled away hours playing the likes of Sim City, Sim Earth, and Sim Ant. While the last sim game I touched was Sim City 2000, it’s hard not to have followed the game industry for the past few years and not have heard about sim maven Will Wright’s latest venture, Spore.
While we learned last month that Spore was Mac-bound (a version was shown off at Macworld Expo this year), we’ve now got an official date: September 7th.
Spore’s in many ways the ultimate sim game, taking you all the way from creating and designing life forms to building civilizations and exploring the universe. Frankly, that may be a little too much pressure for me. Some days I can barely fix three meals and you want to put me in charge of the entire universe?
