If the Mac gaming community had a motto it would likely be “melior tardus quam nunquam” (that, the English to Latin translator informs me is “better late than never,” but I fully expect to be corrected by our readers. Have at it!).
Following news that EA would be shipping its promised titles a wee bit delayed, comes news that Aspyr is working on a port of Dungeons & Dragons-based RPG Neverwinter Nights 2, which was released for Windows last November. NWN2 was created by gaming studio Obsidian, who also did Knights of the Old Republic II (both the original Neverwinter Nights and Knight of the Old Republic were created by BioWare).
I’ve played through much of the original Neverwinter, which is a superb RPG, but I haven’t really touched Neverwinter Nights 2. I saw a preview of it at last year’s Penny Arcade Expo, and it looked promising, but I haven’t had a chance to sit down with it yet. Of course, now that I won’t have to dust off the gaming PC to play it, maybe I’ll have a little more incentive.
MacUser is your source for news, info, and opinion about Apple, the Mac, and the iPod. Our dedicated team of bloggers covers everything that is relevant to Mac users — and, okay, some stuff that’s not quite relevant, but is still a lot of fun.
Some googling shows:
Melius tarde, quam nunquam
or
Potius sero quam numquam.
It's better late than never.
(Livius, Ab urbe condita)
The second one is probably better although it's been too long since my last Latin class to tell you why.
Close,
Melius tarde, quam nunquam
