Call of Duty 4 available for pre-order on Amazon

call of duty 4.jpgThe long-delayed, much anticipated Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare for Mac is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Mac port, published by Aspyr Media, has a listed released date of August 28, 2008, so if you’ve already been playing it on Xbox 360 or your * ahem * Windows PC, you might want to take a break from it so it will feel nice and fresh on your Mac OS.

Call of Duty 4 was developed by Infinity Ward and is published by Activision for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Windows. It saw its worldwide release back in November, 2007, but for us Mac gamers, 9 months after a game’s initial release is better than never! It’s always great to see a serious, critically acclaimed game make its way to the Mac. Let’s hope the gap between great games being published for PCs and Macs continues to close.
