I’ve got to practice my Texas Hold ‘Em for a little poker tourney this weekend. I’ve considered picking up the Hold ‘Em iPod game to hone my skills. After all, what better way to improve than to take on members of the Apple exec team?
You see, Macworld’s Jon Seff has discovered that some of the computerized poker players in the iPod version of Texas Hold ‘Em bear uncanny resemblances to some of Apple’s own employees. Or at least two of them, so far. In the final tournament (which Jon reached with the help of our cheat post—for shame!), you’ll encounter a player called “Killer” who looks an awful lot like everybody’s favorite Apple exec/teddy bear, Phil Schiller, albeit it with big sunglasses and a Hawaiian shirt…which strangely doesn’t look that out of place for Phil.
Coincidence? Perhaps. But on a subsequent table, you’ll find “Shark,” who could be the separated-at-birth twin brother of Apple’s vice president of worldwide iPod marketing, Greg Joswiak. No sign as of yet of Steve himself, but I hear that Donald J. Rosenberg is quite the poker player.
