Do you think people are looking forward to WWDC? There are no less than three WWDC countdown widgets available for download. In our continual pursuit of journalistic excellence, I’ve downloaded and installed all of them, just for that triple…wait a second. How come they all show different times? One of them is six hours away from the other two? Someone needs to go back to the Dashcode drawing board.
Anyway. Space/time singularities aside, what’s far more important is that Apple has spilled some dirt on the session lineup for this year’s conference. With the release of Leopard due to happen—pleasepleaseplease—sometime between now and the event, there’s obviously a bunch of Leopard content at WWDC. The “Leopard Innovations” track contains more than twenty presentations, labs, and hands-on sessions ranging from “Adding Core Animation to Your Application” to “Synchronizing Data with Sync Services” which, we hope, explains why the SyncServices folder is like a swarm of bees.
If you’ve OD’d on Leopard hype, there’re plenty of other sessions in the Content and Media, Developer Tools, Graphics and Imaging, Information Technologies, and Mac OS X Essentials tracks. But all the cool kids will be at the Leopard sessions.
