Update: 3-hour keynote just a mistake

Posted by Scott Silverman | Tuesday, April 17, 2007 1:22 PM PT

200704171621If you didn’t get a chance already to read Dan’s poetic musings from this morning, then I would recommend you do—it’s very…errr…humbling. But before you grab a cup of tea and jump over to that hyperlink, I would recommend you finish reading this post first. Why? Because Dan’s seventeen lines of creative genius have been deemed slightly inaccurate by Apple itself.

We now have word directly from Apple (via both Gizmodo and AppleInsider) that the 3-hour keynote was nothing more than a typo. The keynote will in fact only last 1.5 hours, which, while still a good amount of time, is significantly less exciting. I was going to record a nice song in GarageBand about this update for your listening pleasure, but I know it would never touch Dan’s masterpiece. Thus, you’ll just have to make do with this simple all-text post.

They probably just dropped Stan Sigman's appearance.

Sorry guys. I was that original commenter. The Apple site had 3 hours blocked off!

Ok, then my new speculation is details on all new features of Leopard, iLife, iWork, and a new look for the iMac, with free upgrades to Leopard for any computer bought after June 11.
