Maybe you’re jonesing to hit up Macworld Expo to see Steve Jobs’s keynote, but I tell you this: it ain’t the only show in town. There’s tons of other stuff to do and among the very best way to spend your time is to check out the feature presentations. For one thing, the lines are usually a lot shorter than the keynote, though this year, Stevie J. may get a run for his money from foul-mouthed, New Jersey-born filmmaker Kevin Smith, who will be on hand to answer questions:
“Q&A With Kevin Smith,” January 9, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. In the few years since his entry into the indie film community – starting with the surprise critical and commercial success he received for his debut film Clerks – Kevin Smith has seen it all. Now, several films later, Kevin comes to Macworld Conference & Expo to share his wry perspective on the film business, its quirks, and what it takes to stick with it. Hear Kevin’s story, get a few tips along with some sage advice and a few good laughs out of what promises to be an entertaining and witty session.Well, okay. I’m there. Smith did a Q&A session at my university several years ago that I went to (and which was included on the An Evening with Kevin Smith DVD) and the man is hilarious, though I have to say that his content is somewhat, um, saltier than your average Stevenote.
Also in the feature presentation lineup are photography expert Joel Meyerowitz, Macworld Live! with New York Times Tech Columnist the Right Honourable David Pogue, and, of course, the Mac Brainiac Challenge, in which two teams face off over Mac trivia. Of course, I should note that the challenge has been won the last two years by Macworld honcho Jason Snell’s team—I begged him to let me join the team this year, and he put me in charge of clean towels. Oh, I’m working my way up the ladder.

OK, so Kevin Smith's Q&A session is saltier than The Keynote. But how many times does he say "BOOM!"?
