Sure, Macworld’s about Apple and the products that Steve Jobs will no doubt announce on Tuesday morning, but it’s all about something much more than that. Something important.
Parties.
That’s right, it’s the time of year when the Mac community comes together to exchange ideas, information, and, well, maybe a drink or two. But how do you find the best hootenannies that SF has to offer during this annual pilgrimage?
The Hess Memorial Macworld Event List (named for its creator, MacWeek’s Robert Hess, who passed away in 1996) is the most extensive collection of events taking place at the show, both during the daylight and nighttime hours. You’ll find giveaways, live podcasts, and, of course, parties, to fill your every waking hour, and potentially some of your sleeping ones as well.
Personally, I can assure you that I’ll be swinging by the Ars/Gizmodo party on Monday night, and perhaps to a few other events as well. And perusing the list, I can tell there’s already a few I hadn’t even heard about yet.

MacUser is your source for news, info, and opinion about Apple, the Mac, and the iPod. Our dedicated team of bloggers covers everything that is relevant to Mac users — and, okay, some stuff that’s not quite relevant, but is still a lot of fun.
How about crediting Ilene Hoffman for all her work in putting together and maintaining this list? She deserves ALL the credit!
