This year’s Macworld Expo might have been a little short on tangible products for us fans to get our sweaty mitts all over, but that doesn’t mean we didn’t show up in droves to hear Stevie J. pimp the iPhone and Apple TV. The official attendance figures for this year’s Expo are out, and it’s good news: there were 45,572 attendees this year, an increase of 19% over last year’s figure of 38,441.
Paul Kent of IDG World Expo said that the numbers were “a great exclamation point” on the event:
“The Mac market is a vibrant and robust environment that continues to attract new customers for the most innovative products in the world. We look forward to carrying this momentum forward as we work towards an even bigger event in 2008 with new expo attractions and conference content,” said Kent. The MacUser crew had a great time at the event, and we’re eagerly anticipating next year’s show, starting a mere ten months from tomorrow, January 14th-18th, 2008. Forget that WWDC nonsense: let the real countdown begin.
