Just in case you’re wondering why this post doesn’t brand the new, “MacUser Rumors” header, it’s because, well, we couldn’t resist just one more real news story.
Today, the British record label EMI sent out in a very non-April Fool’s fashion several real invitations to a real event in a real city on a real date. The invitations, which were sent to several media outlets, were for a joint EMI and Apple press conference in London tomorrow (at 1PM GMT/8 AM EST/5AM PDT) for announcing an “exciting new digital offering.”
Could this event be the long-awaited release of Beatles music on iTunes, especially after the Apple and Apple truce? Or, could EMI be returning to the idea of DRM-free music? Well, we won’t know until tomorrow, but make sure to check MacUser for the latest updates in this interesting event.

Or *both*? Hopefully...
Wait, this isn't a joke? Given what this guy was saying at Cita, this could be big...listening to consumers and giving us what we want and all.
