Download the keynote on iTunes

Keynote Have you still not see Tuesday’s keynote? Rather than suffer through a potential streaming nightmare, you can download it off iTunes. It’s a heady, heavy download weighing in at 1.21 GB. Those without patience and a good connection, give up now. I’m trying to download it using a wireless connection here which is hovering between 50 and 70 KB/s and it’s predicting 7 hours.

But wait, there’s more. It’s being distributed as a podcast, not as a store download. This means several things. First, it’s not wrapped up in DRM. Second, it seems to hint that Apple may do this in the future. After all, having a subscribe button for a single episode would be a little bizarre. Thus, I believe this may become the preferred method for Apple fans to watch keynotes (as Apple doesn’t stream them anymore).
