Yes, you read that headline right. I’m still in Vegas, despite the fact that the news in San Francisco is flying fast and furious. And I’m not alone either. Just sitting in the hallway with my MacBook on my knee has made me a target for the Cupertino faithful. Earlier today, a woman stopped and asked me if Apple had a booth here. When I explained the Macworld was going on right now, she mournfully replied that she wished she were in San Francisco. You and me both, sister.
Just now, a younger guy stopped to ask me if I had a picture of the iPhone. When I flipped around my screen to show him, his eyes got as wide as a kid on the first night of Hanukah.
Somehow, I doubt that there are many people at Macworld jonesing to be here at CES. I’m bound for San Francisco about eight hours from now, and I’ll be on the floor tomorrow morning, joining our already-in-progress coverage from Scott and Derik.
MacUser is your source for news, info, and opinion about Apple, the Mac, and the iPod. Our dedicated team of bloggers covers everything that is relevant to Mac users — and, okay, some stuff that’s not quite relevant, but is still a lot of fun.
wait a tick... if dan is the one in vegas (i.e. NOT in san francisco) why exactly are all of the MacWorld posts being posted by Dan? has he got nothing better to do in vegas that post about mac world? ;)
Thanks for taking a seconds to show me the iPhone in the hallway. You're a lifesaver.
