A wrap up of today’s events

Jobs & ShuffleWell the sun is setting here on the east coast, and while those of you in the west may still have a few more hours of daylight left, I’m getting sleepy. So let’s take a brief look at the day’s happenings:

  1. Revised iPod video is introduced.
  2. Second generation iPod nanos are debuted with larger capacities and multiple colors.
  3. A brand new “wearable” iPod Shuffle is introduced.
  4. iTunes 7 is released along with a movie download store and the promise of more movies to come.
  5. The “iTV” is previewed and promised by Q1 2007.

What an exciting day! Some may say (and I’ll agree) that this was more exciting than WWDC. Perhaps Apple planned it that way? In any case, your day won’t be complete until you check out Apple’s video-on-demand of today’s “It’s Showtime” special event. While you’re in the movie watching mood, you may as well check out this new nano commercial. And heck, you may as well just watch Death Race 2000 while you’re at it.
