Apple makes top 10 for first time

Posted by Scott Silverman | Monday, March 05, 2007 2:03 PM PT

AppleHistory has been made today. For the first time ever, Apple is present in Fortune’s top 10 most admired companies list, ranking at number seven. It ranks the number two computer company in that list, however, coming in just .02 points below IBM.

All of Apple’s rankings, done on a scale where the lower the number the better, are very respectable. All are ones and twos, except for the category of “social responsibility.” Hmmm, can someone say Greenpeace?

Um, how can Apple be behind IBM since IBM sold their computer division to Lenovo? Wouldn't that make IBM not a computer company?
