Steve Jobs still parking in Apple’s handicapped spaces

Posted by Cyrus Farivar | Tuesday, August 26, 2008 9:59 AM PT

stevejobscar.jpgValleywag reports that His Jobness has been spotted yet again abusing the handicapped parking space at 1 Infinite Loop.

This recent photo (right), shows Jobs’ Mercedes SL55 AMG (that’s a $155,000 ride, folks) clearly in a parking space that he’s not supposed to be in. (Again, if you’re keeping score at home, that puts him in violation of California Vehicle Code section 22511.5.)

Apparently he’s been getting away with this for many many years, according to old Apple lore. This goes way back to the days of Andy Hertzfeld and Jean-Louis Gassée.

Why can’t the space next to the handicapped one just be reserved for him?

Has anyone noticed if there is a handicapped sticker on Steve's windshield, or a card hanging on his rearview mirror.

All things considered, he may have one. You don't need to be wheelchair bound to get them. All that is needed is a note from your doctor. From what I've heard, a doctor just has to write that you need one and many doctors will write one if you just ask.

When I had outpatient treatment for ingrown toenails on the big toes of both feet, my doctor asked if I wanted one. I said no.

Somebody should stencil over the handicapped symbol, "Mentally Retarded CEO Parking".

Maybe he is handicapped, but hides it well.
i.e. Bad backs are not always obvious.

He is Financially Handicapped. He has no salary, or it is $1, so he needs this perk. BTW, is his Jet parked in a handicapped space at the airport?
