Says MacCentral:
According to notes provided with both packages, the updates address the same issues. Among the changes, Mac OS X 10.4.7 addresses an issue that prevents AFP deadlocks and dropped connections; saving Adobe and Quark documents to AFP mounted volumes is more reliable; and Bluetooth file transfers, pairing and connecting to a Bluetooth mouse and syncing to mobile phones has been improved.
Is anyone else having touble since this update? First, on my own MacBook, I am having network instability when connecting to other network machines. And second, I just had one of my clients report to me that upon restarting their iBook G4 after the update, all their Address Book contacts, iCal calendars, Mail accounts and messages, iTunes and iPhoto libraries wer gone. Poof. Vanished. Fortunately they had everything backed up, but they are now in the process of rebuilding their iBook. The Dock still had their selected icons but had moved from the right side of the screen to the bottom.
Very strange....
I have it installed on both my MacBook and my G5 tower. No problems in either place so far.
hi!
I have a macbook to, and i am having network instability.
Now it seems like i lost half of RAM :(
I was trying to fix problem on wife's MacBookPro, and decided to add to woes by updating to 10.4.7 when the update notice popped on the screen. Upon restart, yeah, dock now at bottom w/o custom icons, entire music library folder from iTunes and Limewire, GONE. NO, I didn't back up first. This was first time to have this sort of problem w. Mac. My own tower still runs Panther, and I like it that way.
