MW08: Just the facts

One of the things that get lost in Keynote coverage are statistics. They’re just not as juicy as product demos, and much more difficult to photograph. As such, I’ve tried to compile a list of details that may have missed your attention.
Leopard
- Over 5 Million copies of Leopard sold
- Almost 20% of OS X’s install base has upgraded to 10.5
- Good reviews from the guys who count (Mossberg, Pogue, Baig)
iPhone
- 20,000 iPhones per day average
- 200th day since iPhone went on sale.
- 4 million sales
- iPhone has got 19.5% of U.S. SmartPhone market (2nd behind RIM)
iTunes
- 125 million TV shows sold. 7 million movies. Both are way above competitors, but did not meet expectations
- 20 million songs sold in one day on Christmas day. New one-day record
- 4 billion songs sold as of last week
Mr. Jobs said it’s the best OS X release ever, however he didn’t make clear if that was just due to the fact that Vista has crashed, burned, and decomposed, fertilizing a rich forest of new Mac users.
Those are the facts that I thought were pretty cool, but now I’ll ask you: Did any numbers catch your eye?
So, where's the new Cinema Displays??? Is Apple getting out of the display business??? Other than drops in price, It's been way too many years since they've updated there monitor selection. Anyone have any answers??? Thanks
4 Million iPhones sold eh! Nice. Can't wait for mine!
