Today is a day of historic proportions. Not only does the iPod turn five, but it’s also the seventh anniversary of the release of Mac OS 9, which marked the last of Apple’s Classic OS. Some things new to OS 9 (which we still have today) were automatic software updates, multiple user accounts, and the password keychain.
Although OS 9 may be a thing of the past to many Mac users, it can actually still run on Intel Macs. It just takes a little manipulation and effort on your part, but it certainly can be done.

MacUser is your source for news, info, and opinion about Apple, the Mac, and the iPod. Our dedicated team of bloggers covers everything that is relevant to Mac users — and, okay, some stuff that’s not quite relevant, but is still a lot of fun.
Seventh, not sixth.
Thanks--it's been fixed.
I really should learn to count someday.
