PC sings the extended version blues

Couldn’t get enough of Messrs. Hodgman and Long in the recent “Sad Song” commercial, wherein PC musically lamented his users leaving him for Mac? Well, we’ve got good news for you: Apple’s posted an extended version of the spot, running a full 1:34 and featuring a couple new verses, some new dialogue, and what is potentially the most adventuresome camerawork we’ve ever seen in a “Get a Mac” spot (look, it’s PC in profile).
You know, I’m not a big country fan, but the new version actually brought a tear to my eye: I feel your pain, PC. I do. It’s a tough, thankless world out there, so you sing it, PC. You sing it. More to the point, I look forward to the inevitable cameo return of the mysterious howling hound dog (okay, I admit it: I laughed at the extended version’s somewhat surreal punchline and now I feel dirty).
