Good things come in threes: like the original Star Wars movies, or musketeers. So when Apple posted a pair of new Get a Mac ads this week, I held my breath, waiting for the inevitable shoe to drop, and last night I was rewarded.
This spot, Stuffed, features—naturally—Justin Long as Mac and John Hodgman as a…somewhat rotund PC. He’s stuffed, you see. Full to the very brim with all the trial software that vendors put on new machines. But Mac, oh, he doesn’t have that problem. I remember the amount of time I used to have to spend cleaning up a new computer in my old IT job; you could blow away a good afternoon decrapifying them.
If you haven’t already listened to the John Hodgman on This American Life that Derik linked to earlier in the week, you’re missing out. Especially the part where he describes the adjectives that bloggers have used to describe him. To that list, let us now add “Oompa-Loompa-esque.”
