Apple product placement debuts on video games

Although not quite as cool (or funny) as the Apple parody in Grand Theft Auto 4, the upcoming PlayStation 3 game Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, set to be released on 12 June 2008, puts an interesting gadget in the player’s arsenal: a 30GB fifth-generation iPod.
High resolution front and rear view screenshots posted by French publication JeuxFrance reveal that it’s the real deal, complete with the patented shape, Apple logo and other text and markings found on the actual iPod. I guess all that fragging and running for your life tends to get old after a while and a little music is just what the doctor ordered to keep things interesting.
